Chinatown in Pictures

04/30/12

I’ve never liked Chinatown. It’s crowded, dirty and loud. So you can imagine my dismay when I took a hands-on photography workshop that brought me right to the hub.

But when I got behind the lens, the crowds were non-existent and the smells didn’t matter. For the first time in my eight years as a New Yorker, I saw this neighborhood in a different light.

Chinatown is one of my favorite places in NYC for photography! It’s colorful & loud & so full of character. Every time I go, I pick a new food to bring home & try. It’s an adventure ๐Ÿ™‚ If you ever need a photography buddy, let me know!

I know! I had no idea until I was there with the camera.

Everyone knows that feeling of not being able to fit everything in a suitcase. We didn't have to buy an extra one. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿงณ

One thing I noticed is that alternative milk options were typically limited to soy or oat milk so most of the matcha I had was with oat milk. All of it was iced because summer. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿต
