If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you may know that I just celebrated a birthday, which inspired this post. I’ve been incredibly open on this blog about my (admittedly, somewhat irrational) fear of aging. To that end, I’ve made a lot of changes to my skincare routine over the past several years to better care for my skin and combat visible signs of aging. Facebook or Instagram, you may know that I just celebrated a birthday, which inspired this post. I’ve been incredibly open on this blog about my (admittedly, somewhat irrational) fear of aging. To that end, I’ve made a lot of changes to my skincare routine over the past several years to better care for my skin and combat visible signs of aging.
By no means do I think I have perfect skin, but I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin’s appearance and texture just from taking a few basic preventative measures that go beyond the products I use. My facialist confirmed this when she told me that it’s obvious I take good care of my skin. That was all the reassurance I needed for me to share a few of my secrets with you.
One. Regular facials. I can’t recommend getting regular facials enough. Once a month is ideal or you can opt for every three months with the change of seasons if you’d like to save some money. That said, for readers in New York City, I highly recommend the Aveda Institute for an affordable facial complete with extractions. While they’re given by students, the work is top-notch. I’ve had facials that cost hundreds of dollars that don’t compare to the ones I get here.
Two. SPF. If I could have done one thing different when I was in my twenties, it would have been to wear sunscreen. I’m talking every single day. It’s important to wear sunscreen in the sun (and cover your face with a hat and eyes with sunglasses), but wear at least 30 spf on your face and hands daily even going to and from work. Choose a moisturizer that has SPF and you’re all set.
Three. Eliminating sugar and dairy. This could be the single change that has made the biggest difference. When I eliminated dairy and sugar from my diet, my skin became smoother, my skin tone more even and my frequent breakouts subsided. I would even go so far as to say I noticed a certain “glow” to my skin that wasn’t there before.
Four. Hydrate. I feel like this makes every list for everything, but water really is a cure-all. Staying hydrated detoxifies your body and helps your skin maintain elasticity.
Five. Cryotherapy. Slowing the aging process and maintaining skin you can be proud of is all about reducing inflammation and limiting exposure to free radicals, which, in some way or another is what all of the above tips can help with. Cryotherapy, a 3-minute treatment that exposes the entire body to extreme cold (-200 degrees F) is said to offer anti-aging benefits by detoxing the body through the skin, fighting inflammation and improving circulation. I tried electro-powered cryotherapy at The Fuel Stop in Manhattan and felt the benefits almost immediately. Cryotherapy is recommended at least a couple times a week, but it will cost you. A single session at The Fuel Stop is $75, bu you’ll save money by purchasing a package.
These are my anti-aging skincare tips, but what have I missed? What do you swear by?

As we know that women are always more sensitive about their age as compared to males, thatβs why, most women do some remedies for looking younger. Therefore, these tips would be helpful as an https://trifectamedspanyc.com/anti-aging-treatments/.
