After three weeks of grueling workouts, I huffed and puffed my way through my last Stacy’s Bootcamp session this morning. Miles of running with 1 gallon water bottles, battling both heat and heavy rain downfall and countless push-ups, jump squats, planks, sit ups, leg lifts, bear crawls and lunges have made me stronger and more firm.

The 5 a.m. wake-up calls got easier over time and while the workouts did not, I found myself much more appreciative of the body I have and what it can accomplish.
Instead of starting in Battery Park, this morning’s workout began at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge. After making our way over, we headed toward a nearby park in Brooklyn and performed several rounds of push-ups, planks, leg lifts and the dreaded bear crawl on astroturf which I brought home on my back and ended the workout with another seems-longer-than-it-really-is run back over the bridge.
It was a great finale to weeks of hard work. After a week off, I’ll be ready to go back for more in mid-September!
