The booze-infused juice and smoothie trend has hit New York City and I, for one, am right on board! While speciality bars and drinks are showing up around the city, why not bring the refreshments home?
Watch the video below to see how to make a better-for-you Appletini with a freshly-juiced Granny Smith apple.
How to Cut Apples for Drinks —powered by eHow.com
Better-for-you Appletini (makes 2 cocktails)
2 oz vodka
¼ tsp fresh lime juice
1-2 green apples, juiced
splash of club soda
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice, pour into martini glasses and garnish with an apple.
To make the apple garnish:
Cut an apple in half then cut each half into slices about 1/8 of an inch thick. Make a diagonal cut into the apple slice with a paring knife so it can be perched on the martini glass.
