I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I LOVE smoothies – especially in the heat of Summer! Satisfying and filling, they are my go-to, never-fail breakfast and snack of choice. As long as they are they aren’t of the Jamba Juice/sugary, pre-made mix variety, smoothies are nourishing, convenient and fun to make.
After relying on green smoothies for quite some time, I decided to change it up but keep it simple. My latest concoction is as naked as they come and involves 1 1/2- 2 frozen bananas (I keep these on hand at ALL times!), a scoop of almond butter, a sprinkle of ground flax seed, almond milk (or my homemade cashew milk – see recipe below) and a dash of cinnamon. Sometimes I add some fresh or frozen strawberries or blueberries to make it even sweeter. My boyfriend loves these after a long run.
Smoothies are a great way to get creative in the kitchen and experiment with flavors and textures. The best part is that no fancy tools are needed. The most basic blender will do!
So mix your heart out and savor every drop of pure smoothie love!

Omigoodness and it sounds and looks delish. I too am a green smoothie addict, but this is such a yummy change. It is winter here in Australia, and a hearty smoothie like that sounds so yum, even though it could be a little chilly
I love you included the recipe for cashew milk too.
Thanks,
Connie
