It was another whirlwind NYC weekend over here which kicked off with a gluten-free dinner at one of our neighborhood go-to’s, The Little Beet Table.
We planned a Saturday morning trip to the Union Square Greenmarket and it was everything. We live a few blocks away, but I can never seem to get myself to this market. Mostly because I have to be in the right mindset to brave the crowds and go. I’m so glad we did this Saturday because the Fall colors were in full bloom.
Sunday started bright and early with The Poland Spring Marathon Kick-off, a 5 mile run in Central Park. Yes, I do still run. Sometimes. I can’t remember the last time I ran five miles (read why here) so I was uncertain about this race. I didn’t PR but I had a great race. I loved seeing the park set up for next week’s NYC Marathon.
I paced myself, felt strong and the miles flew by. I crossed the finish line feeling really emotional with a deep love of running and proud of myself for listening to my body.
How was your weekend? Tell me about something you did that brought you joy.

LOVE the colors in the fresh veggies! I really do miss having a real Fall season living here in Florida. Congrats on running the 5-Miler! I ran the NYC Marathon last year and it was amazing! I just love NY!
