I’d be lying if I didn’t say this weekend wasn’t emotionally charged in a number of ways from a political standpoint. However, I’ve always made it a point not to discuss politics or religion on this blog or any social media space, and I will continue to stand by that. Know that even though I don’t choose to make political opinions a part of this blog, that I stand for love, equality and positivity in all things.
On to this weekend: David and I chose to fill this weekend with friends and food. It truly was one of the best weekends I’ve had at home in NYC in a long time.
On Friday night, we had our friends over for some cheese and wine from one of our favorite Napa wineries, Scribe.
After some apps, we headed to dinner at The Mermaid Inn. It was a much-needed catch-up!
The rest of the weekend I have no photos for, but it consisted of a party at The Bar Method SoHo where I am joining the team (more on that another time), a sweaty and uplifting yoga class at Yoga Vida, a blowout at Amika Style Bar in Brooklyn, a glorious outdoor run, some errands and a major refrigerator/freezer/kitchen clean out and organization project that I’ve been working on for two weekends in a row. It feels so good to start January with a clean and organized kitchen!
Now you. How did you spend this weekend? Have you been using the new year as an excuse to organize and clean?
