Preparing for my two-week trip to Louisville, Ky., my hometown, made this weekend another low key one.
Highlights included, meeting David’s cousin who was in town from Canada for drinks Friday night.
Saturday was basic: an early Bar Method class and the Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte at Cha Cha Matcha. Yes, you heard that right. Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte. Still dreaming about it!
By the time I met David for brunch on Saturday the brunch lines in Soho were ridiculous so we settled for brunch at Tartinery. No line and so worth it. I had the quinoa with two poached eggs.
The rest of the weekend was devoted to packing, buying a new vaccum cleaner (a Dyson!) and the usual adult stuff.
I’m looking forward to a busy week in Louisville teaching a cooking class and a sugar workshop and recording my audio book. I’ll spend the following week enjoying some time off with my family for the Thanksgiving holiday.
