I used to spend my weekends at the bar giving my phone number to cute guys, drowning my sorrow-of-the-moment in lots of cocktails and the resulting munchies in late-night pizza. In the morning I’d wake up regretting the pizza and nursing the hangover with more junk food wondering if the guy who now had my phone number would ever call.
That was my idea of fun.
My weekends have clearly gotten a makeover since then and this weekend was extra-special because I spent it with 5,000 other Health Coaches at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s MEGA Conference.
I volunteered
Roomed with these gorgeous gals – Tara and Sarah
Enjoyed Happy Hour against this backdrop
Dined al fresco
Learned from inspiring speakers, experts in their fields
And partied with them too.
I’d say it’s true that Health Coaches really do have more fun. I wouldn’t trade the life I have now for the one I had then.
What’s your idea of a great weekend?
Clea Shannon says
LOVE your photo recap Marissa! What a treat to be able to meet you in person and share the weekend’s events. I cannot think of a better way to spend a weekend – sharing inspiration, stories and knowledge around health and healing with the world’s leading experts, colleagues and new-found friends; eating delicious, fresh, local foods; enjoying fabulous spring weather and giving back to a community that has gifted me with a life filled-to-overflowing with opportunities. Be well and see you soon, Clea

Ha, my idea of a fun weekend has changed too. I like to eat early, get to bed early and drinks are no longer plural and preferably organic. Thanks for stopping by Foodtrainers, sounds like a great conference. Is it only open to Integrative grads?
Marissa says
Definitely a change for the better! Yes, the conference is open to IIN students and grads.
