Free Fitness Classes at Reebok FitHub Union Square

The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Reebok.

I’m convinced that even if you live in a big, expensive city like New York City, you can still achieve fitness on a budget. In fact, I’d bargain that you can even create an entire WEEK or MONTH of free or inexpensive workouts using the resources this city has to offer (I haven’t tried this yet, but maybe a topic for an upcoming blog post?)

Reebok FitHub Union SquareOne place making this possible is Reebok’s FitHub now open in Union Square. I attended a free yoga class last week with Tara Stiles, founder of Strala Yoga, right inside the store. Yes, you heard that right. A free yoga class with Tara Stiles! Reebok even provided the yoga mats.

The class was Tara’s signature Energize class that really helped stretch me out and gave me an opportunity to playfully work on some of my hand and arm balances. The spot from Tara in forearm stand was icing on the cake.

Reebok yoga 1Reebok provided the outfit for class, which admittedly was a little more dance than yoga. For a yogaclass, I usually like form-fitting clothes that move with me but surprisingly, I loved the baggy Whatever’s Good Yoga Capri. So comfy! The Watch Me Work It Bra was perfect and I loved the colors. But the Own the Floor Dance Graphic Tank while cute, was not yoga-friendly especially for Tara’s inversion-happy class. The knot in the back made Savasana especially uncomfortable.

To celebrate it’s opening, Reebok FitHub Union Square will have free classes with great instructors that you can sign up for in the next few weeks.

But it doesn’t end with the Grand Opening. Reebok will always have these free classes for a variety of fitness interests from yoga to running, CrossFit and more at all their FitHub stores in the New York and New Jersey area: Westchester, Garden State, Upper East and 5th Ave.

Sign up for classes here before they fill up!

Both were family/kid-friendly and brought us out to the most stunning beaches: Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge (Sag Harbor) and Shadmoor State Park (Montauk) πŸ’šπŸ’‹πŸ₯Ύ

Three Summers ago my family and I came to Chicago Three Summers ago my family and I came to Chicago and there wasn't so much as a matcha cafe in sight. Now, so much matcha, so little time. Swipe through for my thoughts in each caption. πŸ’šπŸ’‹πŸ΅

The cafe itself had the cutest decor. The matcha had no flavor and all I could taste was the almond milk.

Refreshing and not too sweet. The blueberry lemonade was the overarching flavor followed by the more bitter matcha. Perfect balance.

Just a strawberry matcha. Nothing special and not the best I've had.

This was an authentic Japanese spot with a premium matcha experience. They hand whisk it in front of you and explain how they make it. I picked up a few tips. The matcha was authentic and rich. Only oat and whole milk options.

Hand whisking and explaining the process in detail.

Not a huge fan on oat milk in matcha because I think it overpowers the flavor. Overall, this was the most authentic like you'd get in Japan.

Tbh, this was a basic coffee shop matcha but I loved the coffee shop itself. I made the mistake of agreeing that the syrup which was a sweetener. I don't like sweetened matcha so that knocked a star off.

The most underwhelming of all. Drinkable but basic. Not bad, but I had too many other really good ones to measure against.

This place has it all. The vibe, tbe energy, the neighborhood, the creative drinks, the community and a nice staff.

This was the most delicious matcha I would give this place 1000 stars if I could.

The place was bustling but they kept it moving and the staff was friendly despite the crowds and heavy drink orders.

An authentic matcha experience with a modern edge. Seriously the best matcha and experience I've had at a matcha cafe.
