Food Intolerances

07/06/15

Determining your food intolerances just got easier.

Pinnertest is a quick and easy test that helps you reliably and accurately determine your food intolerances.

A lot of people confuse food allergies with food intolerances. Food intolerances are more common than food allergies and manifest in your body in adverse ways like bloating, tiredness, brain fog and weight gain.

Even foods that are considered healthy by most standards can make you sick or overweight if you’re intolerant to them.

Before now, I would advise clients to embark on an elimination diet to determine which foods trigger symptoms. While this method does work, it’s time-consuming and not always accurate due to human error.

But why is it so important to determine your food intolerance? Well, for one, food intolerance causes inflammation in the digestive system. Digestive inflammation leads to serotonin deficiency (95% of our serotonin is produced in the small intestine, not in the brain as most people assume).

Low levels of serotonin influence mood. So not only can it cause tiredness and depression but it also controls feelings of satiety. Without enough serotonin, you can eat all day and never feel full or satisfied.

I like Pinnertest because it’s quick and easy to administer at home and i had my results within 10 days.

Here’s the process in pictures (Warning: There’s a small amount of blood in these photos):

I received my results over email and they showed the following food intolerances:

  • onions
  • mint
  • gluten

With this information, I can now work on eliminating the problematic foods from my diet.

If you want to try this test for yourself, Pinnertest is offering my readers 10% off the test and with your purchase, I’m offering a free 30 minute session with me to review your results and discuss your health and wellness goals, the challenges you face when addressing them and how my newest health coaching programs can keep you on track with your health and wellness goals.

Go to Pinnertest.com, enter the code MWAH10 at checkout to receive 10% off then contact me once you’ve made your purchase to schedule your free session.

The triple strain of caring for kids, aging parent The triple strain of caring for kids, aging parents and our careers is real. Caregivers (especially those from the sandwich generation) spend an average of 27 hours/week providing care to others and nearly 40% of them spend 40 hours/week caregiving, the equivalent of a full time job. Thank you to @pacirabio and @theskimm for inviting me to be part of this powerful conversation, take a pause and feel less alone. #betterispossible #middleofitalltalks 💚💋🗣️
