Notes From the Weekend: A Day in the Life

Oh you guys …. I wish I could tell you I had some epic weekend, but what I’ve been up to will have to wait until next Monday when I can actually make it official. Until then, I’ll stick with the basics, because I still managed to sneak in a few of my favorite things, albeit things you’ve seen around the blog fairly often. 

On Friday night, I was exhausted from a long week, but I met David for an after-work glass of wine and some sushi.

On Saturday, I went to my first Bar Move class at The Bar Method. I was nervous because I knew it would be more challenging than a Mixed Level class, but I ended up loving it. It was faster-paced and challenging in a really good way, so I’ll definitely be a regular at this class.

This weekend was absolutely freezing so I stopped into Cha Cha Matcha for a ginger turmeric matcha latte.  

On Saturday, we opted to stay warm inside. I was craving a simple meal of salmon and kale instead of restaurant food so I listened to my body and made that. We watched Manchester by the Sea which was heartbreaking, but the acting was so good.

On Sunday, we tried the new NoLita eatery, De Maria. I had the Fire Dragon Bowl and the Pineapple Turmeric Tonic and this was quite possibly the best meal I had all week. The menu is full of vibrant, artful bowls brimming with grains, veggies and proteins.
