Oof … busy week! I got a little behind with my 52 Lists Project, but I’ll catch up somehow. This week’s list asked me for the happiest moments of life so far.
Let me be real for a second. In my last 52 Lists post I mentioned that I had checked the hashtag, #52listsproject, and that people had gotten really creative with their lists. I mean, artistic creative with beautiful drawings and doodles. It made me feel like I was doing this project wrong, so I said something about needing to step up my game. Then I thought about that and how that is so the opposite of what I preach. I’m not an artistic person and my expression of this project is good enough no matter how I want to present it. All that matters is that it works for me. And that applies to anything in life.
This week’s list asked for the happiest moments of life so far. Let me tell you, there have been many – and I have a feeling there will be even more in the years to come, but here’s what made my short list, starting with high school:
- Getting accepted early-decision to my first-choice college, Northwestern.
- Graduating from Northwestern
- The birth of my niece
- Moving to New York City
- Graduating from graduate school at NYU
- Completing my first triathlon and first half marathon
- Completing the New York City Marathon (twice) and New York City Triathlon
- Getting engaged to David in Paris
- Getting married to David
- Our honeymoon
- Publishing my first book
- The birth of my nephew
Life has been wonderful so far and I’m looking forward to seeing what gifts 2017 (and beyond) brings to my life.
