Scarily enough, 2017 seems to be flying by. I can’t believe it’s already February! The slowing down I did over the holidays has sped right back up. I’ve been busier than ever, but doing my best to stay grounded with everything going on.
With that in mind, this weekend was jam-packed. After what felt like the longest week ever, David and I stayed local and checked out a new plant-based, wood-fired pizza joint by renowned vegan chef, Matthew Kenney, on Friday night. All the pizzas are plant-based and they even offer gluten-free crust which is the best I’ve had. Needless to say, we loved it.
On Saturday, we ventured up to the Bronx Library for my Author @ the Library appearance. The audience was one of the most engaged I’ve ever had, which is always refreshing. After talking shop and signing books, we headed back to the city and then to meet our friends for dinner in Hoboken.
Sunday flew by and ended with my and David’s annual Super Bowl watch party of two. Every year, we watch the game cozy at home and forego our usual home-cooked meal with a spread of nibbles.
How was your weekend? What did you watch the game and did your team win?
