I totally OD’d on chocolate last night. As a health and wellness coach, that’s not at the top of my list of recommendations. But this wasn’t any old chocolate. This was organic, raw, vegan, sugar-and-gluten-free chocolate. I never thought so many of my favorite qualities could be combined into one food item — especially chocolate!
At the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s (IIN) holiday gathering yesterday evening, many of the graduates were sampling their chocolate creations. Now, since I’ve more or less conquered my very own sugar cravings, I’ve given up chocolate but tonight I allowed myself to indulge in these little pieces of heaven. Besides, there wasn’t any refined sugar to be found in them.
If you’re a chocolate lover, know that chocolate has many health benefits, especially high quality dark chocolate. And raw is the best of the best because it’s unprocessed.
